These simple, affordable, one-piece taper reamers can be used for several woodworking tasks. The Small Reamer (3/16” to 3/4”) is useful to rustic furniture makers for back-tapering holes for through-tenon wedging, as well as for general mortise tapering. First-time Windsor chairmakers will find the Large Reamer (3/16” to 1-3/16”) handy for tapering leg sockets. The bits are 3-3/8” and 5-1/2” long overall respectively, with a 5/16” hex shank. The included angle of 12.8° on both reamer bodies matches the tenons made with the Veritas Tapered Tenon Cutters. Designed for use in an electric drill, these tools may also be used in a traditional brace with an adapter.
