A superb Steve Knight Toolworks 8″ smooth plane, built from three different exotic woods and fitted with a razor‑sharp 1/4″ thick iron—a compact, elegant example of Knight’s early laminated‑body work, where performance and visual drama go hand in hand.
The contrasting exotic timbers give the plane a striking, sculptural presence, with clean lines and Knight’s unmistakable craftsmanship throughout. The 1/4″ thick iron is wickedly sharp and ready to work, and the plane has that lively, precise feel in the hand that made Knight’s smoothers so popular among both users and collectors.
A beautiful, functional small smoother with real character—one of the nicest 8″ Knight planes you’ll come across.
