A superb and genuinely scarce Stanley No. 64 Butcher Block Plane, one of the harder specialty planes to find in clean condition. Designed for working end‑grain butcher block tops, the No. 64 has always been a niche tool, produced in relatively small numbers — which is why crisp examples like this don’t surface often.
This one retains its Stanley vee‑logo iron, a desirable detail that helps date the plane and adds to its authenticity. The body is clean and honest, with normal signs of careful use. The tote shows a tiny nick at the top (see photos), purely cosmetic and with no effect on function or comfort.
