When your McCormick’s speedometer starts acting up or your electronic systems throw speed-related codes, chances are your flywheel speed sensor needs attention. This critical little sensor reads the flywheel rotation and feeds that information to your tractor’s computer, keeping everything from the transmission shifting to the ground speed display working properly. Without it working right, you’re dealing with rough shifting and inaccurate readings that make precision work nearly impossible.
What You’re Getting
- Magnetic pickup design that reliably reads flywheel teeth for accurate speed data
- Electronic output that feeds your tractor’s control systems for proper transmission operation
- Weather-resistant construction built to handle engine heat and vibration
- Direct replacement sensor that plugs into your existing wiring harness
Built for Real Farm Work
This sensor keeps the electronics working on your McCormick CX tractors – from the utility CX75 right up through the bigger CX110. These are hardworking machines that handle everything from loader work to heavy field operations, and they depend on accurate speed sensing for smooth transmission shifts and proper implement control. Whether you’re planting, cultivating, or hauling, consistent speed data keeps your tractor running efficiently.
Made to Last
Farm tractors live in tough conditions, and engine-mounted sensors get the worst of it. This sensor uses sealed electronics that resist moisture and debris while handling constant temperature changes and vibration. The magnetic pickup design has no moving parts to wear out, so it keeps providing reliable readings season after season.
Installation Notes
The sensor mounts near the flywheel housing where it can read the flywheel teeth. Make sure the gap between sensor and flywheel is correct – too close and vibration can damage it, too far and you’ll get weak signals. Clean any oil or debris from the mounting area before installation for the best connection.
