A great example of the Stanley No. 9 Cabinet Makers Miter Plane
Fully 100% original and carrying the presence and proportions that make this model so desirable among cabinetmakers and collectors. The rosewood knob is wonderful, showing rich color and grain with no cracks or repairs.
The body is clean and crisp, with only the faintest pitting in two small areas. These spots are extremely shallow and purely cosmetic, with no effect on performance. Otherwise, the plane presents beautifully and remains structurally sound with no other issues.
The No. 9 has long been one of Stanley’s most iconic precision planes, prized for shooting, trimming, and fine joinery work. Original, unaltered examples like this continue to grow scarce.
