A great Stanley No. 40 1/2 Scrub Plane, the larger and harder‑to‑find Sweetheart‑era model, 100% complete and absolutely ready for work. This is the wide‑body scrub—powerful, aggressive, and ideal for fast stock removal—and this example has all the proper Sweetheart‑period components, including the correct Stanley Sweetheart‑marked iron.
The plane was pulled from a working shop. The tote does have a crack that has been reglued and the plane has been repainted at some point in its life. and doesn’t detract from the tool’s capability or appeal as a user.
