Extra Fine Stanley 42x Saw Set In Superb Original Box With Original Instruction Booklet
An absolutely extra‑fine Stanley No. 42X Saw Set, the model widely regarded as the best‑working saw set ever produced. This example is exceptional—clean, crisp, and complete—and comes in its superb original box along with the original instruction booklet, a pairing that is genuinely hard to find.
The 42X is famous for its dual‑plunger mechanism: one plunger grips the saw plate securely while the other delivers the set with precision and control. Woodworkers prize it for its accuracy, ease of use, and unmatched consistency. Collectors prize it because complete boxed examples with paperwork almost never surface.
